The Greatest Movie Watching Experience Ever!

Have you ever been to a movie and enjoyed yourself so fully, that it redeemed all of the crappy movie experiences you have had previously?
I have had this experience very few times. Mostly I go to the movies and end up hating humanity a little more. There's the person who answers his cell phone throughout the movie. The girl that can't stop shouting at the screen when her favorite part comes on. And the guy who comes to the midnight showing of "Harry Potter" and then makes fun of the movie the whole time. (Apparently, he's too cool for school. I mean, no one begged him to come to a midnight showing of a mediocre kid's movie.)
Today was one of those redeeming times. I was worried, because we went to a matinee show, which is usually packed full of three-year-old's (no matter what the content of the movie). Surprisingly, no small children were in my sight. And the people near me were all wearing their shoes throughout the movie (trust me, an important point for me).
And it didn't hurt that the movie was AWESOME!!! I had very high expectations for The Dark Knight, mostly because Batman Begins was another one of those times when I truly enjoyed myself at the theatre.
1. Christian Bale is the perfect Bruce Wayne. He pulls off the troubled gazillionaire who can date hot models one night, and beat the bad guys to a bloody pulp the next night.
2. Heath Ledger. Okay, so I'm a girl, and I have seen 10 Things I Hate About You so many times I can't count them all. I love him! I was more upset by his death than I should have been. I mean, I never met the guy, but it was really sad. This movie cemented his status as a talented young actor who left us too soon, among the ranks of James Dean and someone else who died early...How perfectly creepy was he as the Joker? He brought new life to a roll that Jack Nicholson had perfected twenty years ago.
3. Once again, the action in this movie, although a little startling, was superb. I was on the edge of my seat. I laughed, I cried, I jumped in fright. I even flashed back to particularly gruesome scene in Pan's Labyrinth that I wish I could forget.
Anyway, I loved this movie and I hope that everyone goes to see it. If you don't like it, just assume that I will think you are a moron. Till next time.

Addiction

I am currently addicted to many things. Some are more healthy than others. None of them are particularly exciting to anyone but myself.

1. Battlestar Galactica-because it is the most amazing show ever created, by humans.
2. The battle over Coumadin at work. It's a long story, and it involves the idiots on the fourth floor of the hospital.
3. Lost- That island is soooooo full of secrets.
4. The Mistborn books by Brandon Sanderson. If you love Wheel of Time, read these books.
5. Checking an online website that I have recently become addicted to, purely to find out what all of the people I knew in high school are up to.
6. I hate to say it, because I usually hate Coldplay. But I really love their new album.
7. Nine Inch Nails-Why has it taken so long for me to download their music on my IPOD?
8. Macaroons- Possibly the world's greatest cookie.

That's not really the whole list. I have many other "dirty little secrets" that I will never share with the world.
