Yes, more on Battlestar Galactica. This guy (I call him Lee Adama) may be the missing triplet to the Orgill brothers in my ward. Of course, he is the hottest of the brothers, and British, but so what. Maybe it's like in the Patty Duke show. They are IDENTICAL COUSINS!!!

I just want to say that the new Battlestar Galactica series is amazing. I'm coming into it late (I blame my stupid cable company for not providing me with the SCI-FI channel) but so far I am enthralled. Has anyone else watched this show? I'm dying to talk to someone about it.

The good news, that tail light on my car that has been falling out of it's little spot for the past two years is finally going to be fixed. The bad news, I was in a car accident today.

Luckily, it wasn't my fault and nobody ended up in the hospital. However, Petey (the Cruiser) will have to visit the car hospital to get a new bumper.

In other news, how come I can't find a single box of Girl Scout cookies? I am a ready and willing to buy customer. Where are all of the Girl Scouts? I just want my thin mints and samoas.

Books

Spoiler, I like to read. Here is a list of books that if I were going to be stuck in one place for a really long time (I'm not going to say it's a deserted island, but it might be) I would have to take with me. These are books that I read once every couple of years, although some get a yearly read through.

1. Middlemarch- For many of us, this book is the thinking man's Pride and Prejudice. It's got the torment of unrequited love and the pleasure of judgemental townspeople who eventually get their comeuppance. Plus, we meet Dorothea, one of the most admirable women ever written. Some might think it's boring, and that's okay. The elitist in me doesn't want everyone to like this book.

2. Pride and Prejudice- What can I say? All girls love this book. I am a girl. Therefore, I love this book. And ANY of it's movie adaptations, except that horrible one with Lawrence Olivier.

3. The Once and Future King- I first had to read this book in Sophomore English class. It still makes me cry just thinking about it.

4. The Outsiders- I was introduced to this book by my sister. I don't know if I ever thanked her properly. I don't want to ruin it for anybody, but when a certain person dies, a part of me dies.

5. Wheel of Time series- This is mostly because there are so many of them and it would take a lot of time to go through them all. Plus, I could read and reread all of the Mat stuff. Oh, Mat, I love you...

6. East of Eden- I hate every other John Steinbeck book. HATE!!! This book is a masterpiece that everyone should read. I don't know how the same man who wrote The Red Pony and The Pearl could have written this treasure, but I am glad that he did.

7. Harry Potter series- I'm not ashamed to admit that I love Harry.

8. Tom Jones- Since I'm currently rereading this book, I think I should sing it's praises. It's, quite simply, one of the funniest books ever written, which is quite an accomplishment when you consider it was written in the 1700's. Bravo, Mr. Fielding. Bravo.

I'm positive that after a few weeks on the island, I would be hurting for something new to read. Or be so sick of solitude that I'd consider pulling a Tom Hanks and forge some sort of raft together with only my wiles to help me. But at least I'd be with some of my dearest friends. Yeah, I'm talking about the books, not actual friends. My life is so sad...

Rachel says I haven't blogged in awhile, so I thought I would take the time tonight to let everyone know what I am up to.

1. I am one organ lighter, as my gall bladder proved to be a hindrance to my digestive system.
2. I now work seven ten hour days, and have seven days off. It's a wonderful schedule brought on by the quitting of my most hated (former) co-worker.
3. Indiana Jones comes out on May 22nd. I am so excited about this movie I would possibly cut off my right leg for a copy. Provided, of course, that I get a cool wooden leg. Or maybe some of those magic legs that Lieutenant Dan has in Forrest Gump.
4. I am seeing a psychiatrist. They told me I have OCD, which makes a lot of sense. I read this book called Brain Lock. It's about overcoming OCD. Totally wonderful. So stop making fun of me for washing my hands so much. It's not me, it's my OCD.
5. I have been worried about the upcoming Wheel of Time book, which as we all know will be written by some new guy, Brandon Sanderson. I am usually not a fan of this type of thing. (Imagine if JK Rowling had died before book seven mades it's way to the publishers and they replaced her with some strange new person.) I have since read a book by Brandon Sanderson and I think that he will do a good job. As long as there is minimal Perrin and maximum Mat then I will be a happy camper.
6. I am thinking of joining a fan based Star Wars club on-line. Has anyone ever done this? And if they have, how weird are the people that do it?

There you go, Rachel. This one's for you.
