Anne Hathaway and Beau Hint at Adopting ... A Dog! Celebrities News PEOPLE Pets

Attention everyone! I know that there are serial killers on the loose. I've heard that there is some sort of war going on and that the economy is not doing so well. But probably the biggest headline I've seen today is "Anne Hathaway and Beau Hint at adopting...a DOG!" Can you believe it. Wow.

I'm not sure that these are ready for such a big commitment. This is a big step and they have to realize that once you adopt an animal, there's no getting rid of said animal. It's forever. What do you all think? Are Anne Hathaway and her boyfriend ready to adopt a dog? Does anyone actually care? Stay tuned for the exciting results.

I'm on my way...

Okay, so just to catch everyone up on my new year's goals, I have already been quite successful for a couple of them.
1. So, I knew if I waited long enough that my parents would eventually come down to Utah to get their Christmas presents. And guess what...they did. Check that little guy off the list.
2. Tracy and I filled out my application for What Not To Wear so I am totally prepared for the secret footage to start at any moment.
3. Yesterday I checked out several financially savvy books. Debt-free by 3-0!, I hate Financial Planning!, and some other one I can't remember the name of. I am on my way, folks, to becoming fiscally responsible.

Recently Watched Movie Reviews

People don't know this about me, but I am a huge fan of movies. Here are some of my comments on recently viewed movies.

1. Iron Man-So it took me a few years to watch this one, but I enjoyed every minute of it. And now I don't have to wait long to see the sequel.
2. Julie and Julia-I have recently downloaded an app on my fancy phone that allows me to have the codes for free Redbox movies. My first free rental was Julie and Julia. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't finish this particular movie, and for lack of interest I haven't really cared that much.
3. Only You- Ah, Robert Downey Jr. You are so cute. This is, by far, the greatest movie in which the plot is based around a Ouija Board reading.
4. The Pianist- I always catch this movie close to the end, which is good, because all of that Holocaust stuff is a bummer. I still get very nervous when he's wearing the German Officer's coat and almost gets shot. Poor guy.
5. The Soloist-Another Robert Downey Jr. film. I think that if I had been by myself, I would have sobbed through this entire movie. I don't know why I've never heard of this movie, but it was super good. Plus, RDJ is always great...always.
6. The Memory-Keeper's Daughter- Since it was Sunday and I am a female, I am contractually obligated to watch a Lifetime (television for women) movie. Tonight I DVR'd this movie, which I have seen before, but always appreciate. See, this couple has twins, but one of the twins has down syndrome, so the dad gives the baby away. Wait for it, his wife doesn't find out about it until he dies fixing her kitchen sink, and she is cleaning out his office. Touching moments abound in this gem. Bravo, Lifetime...You've done it again!

Questions

I fell asleep on the couch tonight and so now it's four in the morning and I am wide awake. I have a couple of questions for you all.

1. When is "Free Radio" going to be back on? It's my favorite show. Is it going to be like "Firefly" and "Extras" where I am going to be forced to watch the same 10 episodes over and over for the rest of my life because some idiot wanted to air "Celebrity Fit Club" instead?
2. Why is it that when I am doing something crafty, my old lady roommate cannot help but give her advice on how she would do it? Seriously, it's called a mosaic, Cinde, not decoupage. They are completely different things. If I had wanted to just glue the things onto a table I would have done that.
3. Why am I such a humanitarian? Tonight, Karen and I went to this charity soup dinner where you could buy donated pottery in exchange for soup.
4. Why is Sammy's Cafe so wonderful?
5. How come I have like 50 tubes of Carmex but one is never close to me when I need it.
6. How long can I go before my hair gets noticeably greasy? Five days.
7. Why is it that whenever I go out to do a quick errand expected to take only 15 minutes in public, I end up seeing way more people than anticipated, despite my lack of appropriate attire?

Things I have learned in the past week:

  • My boss is certifiably crazy. Seriously. Yesterday, she had seen my plans to work on one project before starting another. Because she is a meglomaniac who has to have her hand in every decision, she wanted me to work on something completely different. But wait, the crazy part comes in when, after spending two hours working on the thing that she wanted me to, she tells me that I should be doing the thing I told her I needed to work on in the first place.
  • Fifth grade plays have come a long way since 'yours truly' participated in 'the Burley Crew'.
  • Robert Downey Jr. is even more wonderful then I previously thought.
  • "Only You" is a completely different movie then I had always thought. What's that one with the lottery ticket? Not "Only You".
  • Colonel Tigh has become typecast: he always plays that drunken old codger who calls everyone else things like "pantywaist".
  • The Oscars are this weekend, but seriously, who cares? Really?
